Hello everyone! A little over a year ago my daughter and I lost everything we owned in a house fire, which included her modest Barbie (gifts from family) collection and furniture. At the time of the fire she'd just turned 3yrs and wasn't really into dolls, since that time God has blessed us with a fantastic new home which has a massive playroom. We were lucky enough to score a solid wooden dollhouse bookcase from her dance studio's tag-sale! So here comes every little girl's dream: at the time we only had Netflix and my little girl would watch the Bratz movies over and over because she (being half Haitian and half Puerto Rican) could relate to the characters. I remember growing up in a strict Haitian household were Barbie was merely tolerated, so when Bratz franchise came out in the early 2000's I was forbidden to have one even though I felt more affiliation to them then I've ever felt for the "Black" version of Barbie with European features. In any case I was thrilled when my daughter decided on Bratz to reside in the dollhouse, well you can imagine my repressed childhood desire for the hipster dolls and a little girl who's all too thrilled to shop for items on eBay...we've ended up with an entire Bratz World in our upstairs room in little over a year! I've joined pinterest, tumblr, and every other photo-share group hoping to find a place where others remain faithful to the most ethnically diverse fashion doll brand ever created. I understand with the markets being currently oversaturated with Monster High, Ever After, Moxie, and so on and so forth it's hard to image another comeback for MGA Bratz. I tell you, I a 32 year old mother am living proof that there's still a thirst for the Bratz franchise in American society, no other company offers the cultural variety of dolls for my biracial child to play with...dolls whom resemble children in her preschool and Sunday school. For now I'm just happy I finally found Bratz Boulevard and hope I'm not the only mommy on board waiting for the 2015 relaunch of Bratz, my god-daughters also now play exclusively with Bratz so "converts" lol can still happen. I truly hope this community is the place to share the collection my daughter and I have accumulated in such a short time. Thank you Bratz Boulevard for keeping this site alive when everyone else seemed to forget about these unique dolls!
